This piece holds the weight of my journey — living in NYC shelters, navigating broken systems, and still finding ways to create, survive, and rise.
 
Inspired by Basquiat’s language of crowns, bricks, and chaos, I built this with acrylic, gold foil, plaster, and chalk — materials that crack, shimmer, and endure just like we do.
For anyone who’s ever felt displaced but still knows they wear a crown.
